The fine print

Terms of Use

Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Effective 9 October 2026

  1. Who operates this site. Charter Jet One, the air charter broker behind Private Jet for a Day, operates this website. Private Jet for a Day is an air charter broker and is not a direct air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft; every flight is operated by an FAA Part 135 (or foreign equivalent) direct air carrier in operational control of the aircraft.
  2. Estimates only. Flight times, schedules, hourly ranges and cost figures on this site, including the day-trip planner, are informational estimates. They help you plan and are not offers. A quote for your actual day may be higher or lower. Photographs show the style of travel we arrange, not a particular aircraft.
  3. When a booking becomes binding. A quote does not bind you or us. A booking exists only once a charter agreement has been signed.
  4. Knowing who flies you. Before you book, we tell you the operating carrier for your flight and the aircraft type.
  5. Availability. Every flight is subject to confirmation by the operator. If an aircraft becomes unavailable before confirmation, we tell you promptly and suggest alternatives where we can.
  6. Taxes and fees. Quotes are all-in and include the taxes and fees known when we quote, such as the 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic US flights and per-passenger segment fees. Changes you request later, such as a different return time or an extra stop, and conditions such as winter de-icing, can change the total. You see any change before you confirm it.
  7. Changes and cancellations. Your charter agreement sets the rules for payment, schedule changes, cancellations and refunds. Please read it before you sign.
  8. Your responsibilities. Give accurate details, carry the identification and travel documents each traveller needs, and follow crew instructions. Operators may refuse carriage where safety or the law requires.
  9. Limits on liability. This website is provided as is. As far as the law permits, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the site or reliance on its estimates. Liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected. The charter agreement and the operator's conditions of carriage govern the flight itself.
  10. Outside links. Links to official sources such as the FAA and the eCFR are for reference; we do not control their content.
  11. Governing law. The laws of the United States and the State of New York apply to these terms.
  12. Updates. These terms may be revised. The version shown here, with its effective date, applies.
